Position Overview:
Sales Associates must quickly build positive rapport on the phone with prospective consumers, must strive for phone conversations of superior quality, and must utilize sales skills to generate prospective consumer leads. Essentially inside-sales positions, Sales Associates require customer service-oriented employees to make a high volume of outbound calls throughout the day, overcome objections, handle rejection and oftentimes deal with rude and offensive individuals.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Making outbound calls to prospective consumers
  • Explaining the benefits of products and services being offered
  • Performing internet searches across multiple search portals
  • Assisting prospective consumers in finding products and services that fit the consumer’s current or future needs
  • Obtaining and entering customer information data
  • Qualifying and selling to prospective consumers by using prepared scripts and systems
  • Maintaining satisfactory personal Quality Assurance performance levels
  • Promoting superior product quality by adhering to prepared scripts
  • Selecting accurate dispositions for each call handled
  • Maintaining high level of self-motivation in order to meet and/or exceed specified sales quotas
  • Communicating effectively with prospective consumers
  • Following internal direction and processes to ensure compliance
  • Working well as part of a team by exhibiting objectivity and being open-minded toward the ideas and views of others, giving as well as welcoming feedback, contributing to building team spirit, and aiding others to succeed
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance, consistent with the ADA, FMLA, other federal, state and local standards and company attendance policies and procedures

 Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree or higher or equivalent experience
 Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employees in the Sales Center work in close quarters, sitting very close to each other. The office space is filled with Sales Center employees who are all on the phone at the same time. Therefore, the working environment can be loud, hectic, boisterous, and stressful. Sales Center employees wear a headset and sit in small cubes next to each other with short, 4’ walls.
